Does anyone have experience with these? I just want to know if they are worth looking into. Also will take other suggestions on saddle that are good for someone with a small budget.
I prefer the wool flocked but for the price HDR saddles and tack are a good buy … many school horse programs use them as they hold up decently .
I have an HDR because it fit my budget at the time I bought it. I don’t love it, (especially when I get in it after riding in my trainer’s PJ!) but it has been a very durable saddle for a good value. I’ve had mine for about 5 years of moderate use and taken good care of it, so it has held up very well and still looks quite nice. If I rode more, I would replace it with something nicer and more comfortable, but I can’t justify replacing it now when it’s still in great shape and I just ride a couple of times a week. I will say that the HDR stirrup leathers stretched terribly and unevenly though, so skip those.
