Headphone recommendations when driving tractor

I recently purchased a Kubota compact tractor and that sucker is really loud. I have plain ear protection but would love to to entertain myself while mowing. Anyone have any really good noise cancelling headphones I could use with my iPhone? Thanks!

I’ve not found any noise cancelling headphones that I can hear over my tractor. Even my set that I used in noisy server rooms doesn’t cover up the tractor. Instead I have a nice set of LG Bluetooth neckband headphones. They fit in my ears with no bulk and my normal ear muff style hearing protection fits nicely over the top.

My farm store carries the ear muff hearing protection that has Bluetooth. I keep waiting for them to go on sale as the reviews are really good, but can’t see spending the money while my neckband headphones work.

This is my Father’s Day present:

I’ve got the version that plugs in but this will make life simpler.

@Guilherme I’m crazy about Northern Tools. You can find their stuff on Amazon, but if you become a premium member for $30, you get free shipping on everything. Guessing you already are a premium member!

Trend setter that I am…of course!!!

I just got a package of Northern coupons so that will at least pay the sales tax.

Wearing ear protection in open station tractors (or other equipment) is a Very Good Idea. You only get one chance to lose your hearing. Don’t take it!!!

I use the 3M noise abatement headphones that have both FM Radio and Bluetooth. They have been effective on both my ZTR and my Kubota tractor. They do not cancel the noise, but it’s greatly abated and I enjoy having the tunes alone for the ride, even if low frequencies are compromised by the machine noise.

I originally acquired these headphones to wear in my shop when my CNC machine is running for long periods of time, but find I’m using them more for property maintenance. LOL

I love my Bluetooth earphones! The silicone earbuds cancel out a lot of noise, and the battery lasts about 4-6 hours. Great for mowing and miles of trot sets, especially with built in microphone to take phone calls. Cost about $20, holding up great after a year of frequent use (and an accidental trip through the laundry).

We just bought some 3M ones that are bluetooth capable and seem to work really well.

I use regular cheap earbuds for music/audiobooks with a pair of noise cancelling earmuffs overtop. Works like a charm!

@EventerAJ Thanks! I just ordered a pair. It’s cool that they come in different colors. Can’t wait to try them!

I have bose noise cancelling earphones that stick in your ear. they work amazing on my 80’s tractor that is very noisy. i only hear a bit of a hum of the tractor. now i can listen to all my podcasts while I drag the ring and mow the fields. Life altering.
