Been using it for years. Great under blankets as it helps with the dander/dry skin problem in the winter. Also good for preventing tail breakage in dry weather especially during the fly season. Total love the stuff. I’ve even used in on my hair from time to time.
Just started using it, its great for giving a natural shine and adding moisture to their coats. Use sparingly though because the first time I over did it a little so my horse was a complete dust ball. Just a light spritz all over after a good grooming or hose down has proven to be plenty!
Love, love, LOVE the pink stuff
Thanks guys! Maybe I’ll try some for manes & forelocks, and save the shiny detangler stuff for tails. I love an excuse for a Dover run.
Love the stuff for coats - for me not so much on manes and tails. For that I stick with my Infusium 23.
Yes and I really like it.
It’s a staple in my barn and has been for many years.
This thread is 8 years old.
Ugh. I’ve gotten sucked into another ancient thread. That has happened to me a few times lately. I’m slipping…
Still good stuff 8 years later though! I still use it religiously
I’ve been using it since I was a teenager on my lease horses…so, going on close to 20 years now. I do find that I use it more in the winter when everything is staticy and dry. I do like it as an all-over mist after a bath as well. It smells nice, isn’t greasy or slippery, and really does add moisture to coats. I consider it a staple in my grooming box.
However, for detangling tails I go a little heavier-duty–I recently discovered the ShowSheen detangler gel with argan oil, and I like Car Day & Martin’s mane and tail conditioner. I also do sometimes do an all-over body mist of Vetrolin shine during mud season and in warmer months. I haven’t had an issue with it making my tack slip, but it does seem to keep my horse a little cleaner since it coats the hair.
I have been using this stuff for years! I especially love this stuff over the winter, as it helps cut down on static with blankets. I put it in his mane and tail and all over his body, just not saddle area.I find that it lasts many bottles!
If I put it in tails, I do try to make a point to wash out the tail after a couple of uses. I find it does get a little built up, but it is very good with dry, itchy tails!
