Heart Rate Monitors besides Ceefit?

Shoot :joy: where does the time go? No, I’m so behind I haven’t gotten it strapped to anyone yet. And of course it’s raining today, tomorrow, all weekend… I promise, the next non-rainy day I’ll at least get it set up for a hand walk or lunge or something. I’m really curious to see how it works too, just been swamped with work.

Might have to wait a while longer. It appears that someone used the Ceefit, broke it and then sent it back to RW and then they sold it to me. The charging plate is all scratched up and I’ve had it charging for over 24 hours but it’s only at 40%…and now it won’t even show up on the list of nearby devices. :expressionless:

My bad for not using it sooner, but for this amount of $$ I expect a new product, not a used one.

Popping back in to say that I got a replacement (thanks to RW’s excellent return/exchange policy).

It’s a little finicky about connecting to the app via bluetooth - BUT I did a test “ride” of me carrying it around the living room (because it’s storming right now), and it did record the data.

As soon as there isn’t a river running through my backyard, I’ll put it on an actual horse along with the ECG/HR monitor and see what we get. I’m definitely planning on subscribing to the premium features so I can take full advantage of whatever data/calculations are available.

Here I am, with screenshots of some of the various data it gives you.

I recorded a portion of a lunging session. I fiddled with the placement for a while during the walk warmup before I actually turned it on, so that’s why it looks more or less like we went straight to trotting :joy: also, ignore the red and green better/worse indicators, it’s basing that off the “ride” where I carried it around my living room.

I’m actually surprised to see that it says this horse is close to even on symmetry, because I know he has a weaker stifle. This session was kind of disjointed because he was doing a lot of goofing around, but I’ll be curious to see what kind of HR data I get when I can do a more focused session like I normally would. This horse is just coming back into work after 6 months off (my doing, not an injury) so it’ll be a true baseline read.
