Heart Rate Monitors besides Ceefit?

I’ve had my eye on the Equestic and Ceefit movement trackers for a while, but I also want to add a HR monitor to my setup - so the Ceefit Pulse seemed like a great option… Until I saw the price. The whole setup is $475. :flushed:

I did some searching but only found old, old threads about HR monitor options.

Anything new out there for HR monitoring (horse) that isn’t quite so spendy?

I used to have a Polar.

I’m also curious about the current crop of heart rate monitors. Has anyone tried the Enduro Equine Heart Rate Monitor? It looks interesting but I’m not seeing reviews on many of the current monitors.

I haven’t heard of them, but I did spend some time looking at the Polar options last night.

However, I found a good Black Friday deal yesterday on the Ceefit setup, so I went with that.

Where did you find the deal? I’m interested in getting one!

It is part of Riding Warehouse’s 20% off - there was only one of each in stock, BUT it looks like you can still order, and it will be shipped in 2 weeks. It’s a screaming deal.

I’m super excited about the whole setup, I’ve given the horses some time off so it will be super useful as I’m bringing them all back into work and getting Peach started in the new year, AND super handy for conditioning later on if I really do want to get back to eventing in 2025.

Awesome, thank you!

Hey just a heads up - I ordered mine and went to look for the app, and from the surface it appears as if there’s going to be issues with my version of Android. Double check you can use the app!

That’s extremely disappointing. Is it only for people with Apple phones?? The app store says it’s not compatible with ANY of my devices, which are certainly not old but they are all android OS (Samsung and Google). I just sent an email to Seaver to ask what devices it is compatible with, since I’m sure RW has already shipped mine and I have to wait on that anyway.

It’s basically a $400 paperweight if I won’t be able to access the data… :sob: I was really excited about it, too.

I have no clue. My phone is definitely not new, but it’s the version of android that appears to be the issue. It doesn’t seem that it will work with my Samsung smart watch for the same reason, which again - it’s not new.

I’ve also emailed them - if this is going to be a big production it’s getting returned.

For as expensive as their stuff is, you’d think the app would be compatible with most new -ish phones. Or that it would be noted somewhere, preferably in bold print, that it’s only going to work with a select few types of devices.

Guess I will go start researching other options again. I’m bummed that by the time the Ceefit gets here and we get it returned, nothing will be on sale anymore  and it was supposed to be my Christmas present…
