Heiro for dogs- Anyone tried it?

Heiro for horses is a great product. I see they now have a dog formula. Reviews are questionable for bad hips and arthritis.
I’m always on the search for some new miracle for my 8 yr. old GSD who’s starting to limp after
an active day. Sure she has hip displasia and hind end arthritis due to poor conformation.

Right now Dasuquin w/ msm and Lubrisyn are our go to.

I don’t really understand why you would choose Heiro for arthritis. Isn’t the point of Heiro for IR horses, and to support insulin balance? (To be honest, while I’m all for herbal remedies, I really don’t know how (if) Heiro actually helps IR horses anyway.)

I’d probably ask the vet about NSAIDs for arthritis, although if you’re looking to go the natural route, a consultation with an alternative therapies vet might do more than you think - some gentle chiro and acupuncture might help a lot.

Do you know for certain the dog has dysplasia or just a guess? If you know she is dysplastic, I’d definitely get a vet recommendation.

The Heiro Dog website mentions arthritis and joint problems. Many comments about helping dogs get up and down, less limping. There’s a slew of herbs in the product, guessing some are for pain/discomfort.

Dog has been seen by vets, no xrays but one did
say crepitus in rear legs. She has faulty conformation in rear, rope walks, and limps
after walks.
Had another dog years ago with diagnosed displasia and was given various nsaids, but I
prefer trying other things .
I’ve used the horse product for several horses
and it helped IR and laminitis.
The reviews for the dog version just don’t seem
valid to me.
