Hello, I'm new!Would love to meet you

Hi! I’m excited to join this community. It sounds great, and I like the idea of exchanging training, riding, and horse tips and advice. Amazing!

A little bit about me… I’m young (in my teens), I have one horse of my own, I want to be a barrel-racer and I’m a beginner. My horse is too, so we are taking it slow (since I don’t have a trainer). I read any barrel-racing & training books I can get my hands on, so if you have any good reads or books that have helped you and have really good advice, please feel free to tell me! I’d appreciate it.
I love dogs too, I used to have a Lab but she died this summer. I miss her, & I’m hoping to get another pup come spring.I also like to make new friends!

This summer I had to raise 5 itsy-bitsy kittens that weren’t a day over 2 weeks old…it was quite the task  They made it, though. They are super friendly, and I often get compliments from their new owners about how friendly they are. Kitty Power all the way!

. Well I’ll catch you all later, I hope to meet quite a few of you!
Have a good evening!

Welcome !

Welcome … thattaboytommi !

Great job on your ‘kitten raising’ summer !

Bless you for helping them ![/B]

Welcome to COTH! What kind of horse do you have?

Welcome! I don’t post much but I have learned a lot by reading through threads on all the forums here.

I don’t do barrels but my trainer’s two kids do. If you want more information on barrels, I suggest going to YouTube and watching the videos, especially from Martha Josey and Charmayne James. There are tons of them on youtube that may help you out. I am a visual person so I find it much easier to learn from videos than reading but you may be different.

Thanks, Zu Zu!

He’s a QuarterHorse, RPM:)

Sail Away, thank you! I do like seeing things demonstrated; to me it makes much more sense! Therefore, video is much easier for me too  I shall look them up.
Thanks for the welcome, guys!
