Helmet again

So, I need to replace current show helmet. I have a trauma void w/ the MIPS. Will move that to my schooling helmet.
Issue is I have a very long, narrow face. absolutely hate the way that helmet looks on me. Also the MIPS makes it feel not really secure, the part on my head is, but the shell wiggles around terribly & really bothers me. Anyone have a feel for if the wide brims help balance stuff out, or make my face look even longer/narrower?

(also no really up for spending $600 on a helmet currently budget more like $300-400 - will save up if CO is the only option though…)

How often do you look at yourself in a mirror when riding? Personally, my focus is on the horse. I wear an ugly bright yellow hi-viz helmet cover because I can’t see it on my head but it means I can be spotted from a distance by a vehicle and so stay safe.

No one likes how they look in a helmet. Get one that fits and feels good and do t look in the mirror.

Have you tried the MIPS for several rides in a row? It feels very different at first, but you get used to the new feel and personally, I would rather have the safest technology I can get.

ETA: NEW DATE. Now on Saturday 12/11 at 7 due to a conflict with Friday.

I have the facebook MIPS group and this coming Saturday (12/11) we are going to be having a LIVE Q & A showing off ALL the MIPS models on camera.

We will be hosting this from Fair Hill Saddlery, which to my knowledge, is the ONLY tack shop in the USA to offer EVERY MIPS model available in the USA. AND they offer online Zoom fittings too!

The FB group is populated with lots of great Helmet Reps and Tack Shop owners, managers, employees etc. In short, a LOT of folks are in our group that can help.

We have member owned lightly tested helmets for sale too. Since folks can’t always return a non fitting MIPS helmet that they got to try on with many others.

To help EVERYONE with their helmet questions and shopping quests we are going to host a LIVE Q&A Session next Saturday, 12/11/21 on Zoom direct from @FairHillSaddlery. Kimberly Chick and I are hopefully going to be able to answer the biggest questions you have about any of the MIPS helmets models.

Depending on inventory We will attempt to put on and wear each of the models and show you what it looks like inside and out.

Schooling I don’t care. Show ring I do. Last show I went to when I looked at the photos the shell of my helmet had gone crooked. Not adverse to another MIPS helmet, but need one that the shell is more stable when just riding. Like I said I will use this one for schooling, as I don’t care.

Do the wide brims offset a long face some, or make it worse?
I don’t have a good local english tack shop here to go try on a bunch of different ones
