What helmets do you like that don’t make you look like a bubble head? I have a small head and bought a Troxel Sport. I thought it said low profile, bit I look like I have a giant black bubble on my head,
Would like to keep the price under $150.00.
I think you’d like the Ovation Deluxe Schooler or even the Troxel Intrepid. The Ovation seems to fit a wide variety of people, comes in an XS/S or S/M size and is very comfortable.

The model you chose has a more prominent base and a rounder profile; the Intrepid is sleeker. Both are well-priced and safe.
I like my Uvex, but it is over your price. Tipperary is my second choice, and it is well priced.
Go just a bit north of your price point and make it worth it. One K Helmet. About $210 in many places. But do try before you buy. Helmet should be properly fitted. I love mine. Can take out the liner and wash it and replace; also can buy new liners for $20 or so (though I have not needed that and I’ve been in mine for 2 years in hot weather year-round).
i like my Tipperary. the troxels all bobbled on my head, even after snugging them up the Tipperary just fits.
If the Troxel fits, the Tipperary likely won’t. The former is for round heads, the latter, for ovals.
I love my OneK, but it’s for oval heads, and costs too much
I’m still wearing my Charles Owen jockey helmet – with a brimmed helmet cover.
No bubble head. Fits great and is sooo comfortable. Actually it’s my second one. First one sustained a crack when it saved my life in a fall.
I second the Ovation Schooler. They’re inexpensive, comfortable, and definitely low profile. They also make some more expensive versions (though still way under $150):

I bought one of those yesterday. Once on my head, it wasn’t going anywhere but home with me. Pure comfort right to the chinstrap. Classy profile, matte finish. I love it!!
I bought my IRH because I was tired of Troxels looking so big. I like the IRH a lot. It’s the 2nd to lowest priced model, the one without the dial-a-fit band, and it’s in your price range.
I love my Ovation Deluxe Schooler. I find it very comfortable, and think it looks really nice with no bubble head effect. I wear it daily and have also ridden some local open shows in it. And at $50, I didn’t have any heartburn over replacing my first one after a minor fall.
Troxel liberty might be a good one to try!
Ovation schooler or I think their other cheap model is the sync? Very nice looking, removeable liners and dial fit that gets the fit perfect. No need to spend more.

I have thought about the Uvex. I don’t like the Tipperary.

I was looking at one of the IRH helmets. Is there a big difference in the difference of the look of the IRH and the troxel? I really want to find a helmet that doesn’t look like I have a giant half a beach ball on my head.
Looks are less important than comfort. Find one that fits and is comfortable to wear for long periods. Personally I have to try them on because they vary so much. I have tried on helmets that gave me a headache almost immediately due to how an adjustable strap was placed and others I thought I wouldn’t like we’re very comfortable. I use mine trail riding for hours so comfort is critical.
The Troxel Intrepid is a very nice helmet - my daughter loves hers - as is the Ovation Schooler, which I have. Affordable and attractive.
