I’d like to pick up a second helmet with the discounts this weekend, and the AYR8 fits me like a glove (I’m a long oval). But I want to branch out into some of the lighter weight and better ventilated options. Something like the Shadow Matte or the similar IRH version is what I’m thinking, but in the past I’ve always had trouble finding something that fits me as well as the AYR8. For those of you with a similar fit, what else have you found that works that I should try???
Fellow AYR8 lover here. Unfortunately while I always wanted to love the Samshield helmets, they just didn’t fit me very well. The IRH helmets fits me better, namely the IR4G and the IR4G XLT.
I currently own two Trauma Void Eq3 helmets. They fit me the best out of the MIPS helmets I was able to try and I like having the added protection.

The AYR8 fits me well. I can also wear: One K, Trauma Void Lynx, Tipperary, or Uvex. No luck with GPA, Samshield, Troxel, or others.

I’ve also been a long-time AYR8 wearer. I wanted to go with a MIPS helmet and can wear the TraumaVoid EQ3, and the new CO My PS helmet. I’ve previously tried on Samshield and OneK (non-MIPS) and they don’t work for me at all.

The AYR8 fit me well. I tried on a bunch of helmets (admittedly all higher end) and found the KASK helmet fit the best. I also pined after a samshield but they don’t even come close to fitting my head. I believe I tried a trauma void (BOT is affiliated with them correct?) but it didn’t fit quite right. That being said, it was a couple years ago so maybe I’m remembering the brand incorrectly.
I was after a liner system though, and that was my priority instead of lightweight and ventilated.
