Hi,
I have been very impressed with the vast knowledge of breeders in this forum. I have never posted here before but am looking for advice for breeding my mare. I am would like to breed for an amateur minded upper level jumper. My mare is by a stallion who is by Accord III out of Loutano mare. The dam is by Cassini I out of Lonzo mare. I can’t figure out how to post a picture of her. She is medium build and a very nice type but a little small (16.0). She is a lovely mover and free jumps well. I would like to add size and scope. Some of the stallions that I like include Chacco Blue, Kannan, Kashmir, and Numero Uno.
I am looking for advice to crosses that work well (or don’t) with my mares lines and I’m happy to breed with frozen as she is young and fertile. The mare has RPSI papers so I’m not stuck on any specific breed registry.
I look forward to reviewing your educated opinions.
I know Ahna is breeding her Cassini I mare to Amazing this year. I am very excited to see this cross. You might want to take a look at him as well. We are waiting for our own foal by him, that should be here any day now. Good luck in your search.

We have an RPSI approved stallion by Indoctro that could be of interest. His name is Imothep. He’s jumping 1.50m currently and working towards 1.60m. Superb modern stallion with unbelievable scope and a wonderful temperament. You can see more on Imothep on our website.
Cheers
Interesting pedigree. I have a stallion that is breed somewhat similarly (flipped - he’s a Cassini I/Acorado/Corleone).
If I owned your mare my first choice, out of all of my stallions, would be Valentino Z. He’s a Darco son and there have been some great Darco crossed on both Cassini I and Accord bloodlines, esp. in Belgium. He’s got super offspring out of Holsteiner mares with similar breeding and I’ve been pleased with his consistent production. If you are interested, I can share lots of foal/offspring information.
Valentino Z is approved for breeding with RPSI (as well as many other WB registries).
Good luck with your search!

Here’s some video of him, ridden by Judy Ann Melchior in France: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZkmRWopQNw

Thanks Hyperion! I think we are on the same page. The mare just had a foal by Indoctro on Sunday. I’m familiar with your stallions (I had stalls in the same tent at WEF this year as your horses and was always impressed with them) A friend suggested that I look into your new stallion Dakota as well.
Ronda, thanks for your suggestion. I love Darco and he looks nice. I would love info on his foals as I didn’t see any on your website.
I am really interested in frozen semen from Europe as I usually don’t have a mare fertile enough to do frozen. I do have two older broodmares that these are good options for.
Thanks!
