Help! Farrier needed in Seattle area-crossposted in horse care

I am in desperate need of farrier recommendations! My old farrier can no longer shoe my horse and I have been trying for weeks to get someone out to no avail. He is now overdue for a trim and has pulled a front shoe so I can’t afford to wait much longer! I can’t even get someone out to pull his other shoe so at least he isn’t all wonky until someone can come shoe him. I have exhausted all my resources and called at least 10 farriers and a few lesson barns nearby to see who they are using and don’t even get my phone calls returned.

So if anyone has any names for me I am all ears! Horse is 7 year old OTTB gelding, soft feet and thin hoof wall but doesn’t pull shoes normally. He is located close to Rockmeadow farms in Sammamish and I am willing to pay extra to get someone out here ASAP!

Thank you!!

Call you vet. If all else fails they can at least pull the shoe.

You can try Lisa Fite, she’s in your area and comes highly recommended. PM me for contact info.

I have a very good Farrier I can recommend if you haven’t found one yet.

Thank you! I am actually hauling my horse to her place today to get him shod, however she unfortunately will not work for me long term as she will not come out to where I live and I can’t haul him every time he needs to be reshod (don’t have my own rig yet, am borrowing one today)
