High Pointe Hay
Hi…the farm at High Pointe Equine was able to make alot of hay despite the drought this year. They are large sized bales of timothy hay, organically bio-fertilized without toxins or pesticides mixed in during the growing cycle. It is safe for breeding mares and foals, and better for the health of all horses. He has hay available now and is taking orders for spring. Discounts available for large orders and pick-up. Call Jeff at 908-894-4218. Good luck on your search!!

Mk, there’s a lot of good hay produced in upstate (so above Westchester Co.) that will only run 2.50-3.50 (at most) a bale. Rarely does even second cut go for more than $3.50.
Look on cragislist. The key is delivery. I had a woman, she bought one of my foals, who was from the Poconos and it was cheaper for her to bring her truck and trailer up here and buy hay here.
I never had a problem finding good hay, and I am picky. I am a large farm 30 head, so i am a gold mine for hay producers. All around me everyone makes hay-now not all of it is good.
So take a look on Craigslist in the Ithaca, Binghamton, Syracuse, Elmira areas. I feed a Timothy mix only too.
Thanks everyone for the replies!
So far, I have found a broker that will deliver to my area and I’ve been happy with the first load. He’s new to the area and if any fellow Cothers would like his number, just let me know!
