Okay…Crates website was super helpful. Older barrel saddle with semi-quarter ralide tree. Really nice saddle, but I don’t think it will work. Boo. Somebody should snap this up. It is only 560.00 with matching bridle and breast collar. I think the guy would go lower.
Yes it is a Crates Barrel saddle, Crates hold their value. I have one I have had for 20 years. They fit a lot of horses but the semi-qh bars do not fit the mare I have now. So if your horse is stocky it may not fit, that being said if it doesn’t fit you could re-sell for at least the asking price.
Well, I bought it. The saddle has barely been used and they came down to an even more reasonable price. It does need to be oiled/conditioned, but overall has little wear. If it doesn’t work for my gelding, I may put it in my living room to appreciate until the husband starts wondering why the saddle collection is growing again. It also came with a nice bridle, reins, and breast collar. Fingers crossed it works.
