Help me choose the best stallion for my mare. Please!

I had the wonderful luck late last year to acquire the wonderful Hanoverian mare EM Dulcinee.
Http:// http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/dulcinee6
She is the dam of 13 foals, several of which were inspection champions and elite mares. She was the champion at her inspection in foal with a foal at her side. She has caught using frozen at least 9 of these pregnancies. Her foals are competing mainly in dressage but one that I found is also doing quite well in jumpers.
Anyway, I am looking to breed for an ammie friendly dressage foal. The stud fee is not an issue, I have saved and want to produce the best possible foal from this mare. From what I have found it seems that her babies have all been marketed as having excellent temperments (and she certainly does) and I don’t want to breed her to anything that would change that. Ideally the foal will be for sale, however I do have the means to keep it if there is no market.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. She has been bred to For Feeling twice, and Sir Donnerhall twice but the other 9 foals were by 9 different stallions. Thank you in advance!

Wanted to add that she is 16.2 and very heavy boned. Thanks again.

Some confo shots would help here

Edited to fix link, thanks again

Congrats on your new lovely mare. Nice to start with a proven one! Definately Schroeder (Sandro Hit x Escudo I) could be a good choice to help refine and add some legs and hep with the topline. He puts on a super character and has good character himself.

Not sure if you want to breed her to a Hanoverian, or how far you are willing to look but my friend and I were looking at this site last night and drooling over the stallions!! Beautiful horses! I definitely will be looking into this farm in the future. http://www.blazingcoloursfarm.com/

Other than needing a longer hip, I don’t see much wrong with this mare’s topline. And if this after 10 foals or so, her topline is quite remarkable. There is quite a bit to like about her. She’s low in the foreleg, but hindleg length is fairly modern. Her head is “noble”, that’s the most old-fashioned thing about her.

Here is you mare’s complete pedigree: http://www.horsetelex.com/horses/pedigree/597819

This list of online resources is very new, and should help you. There are upcoming articles for the Hanoverian breeder that will be posted soon, but if you contact me directly I will forward them to you. http://hanoverian.org/valuable-online-resources-hanoverian-breeders/

Did you get this mare from Michele Levesque? She is one of the most accomplished Hanoverian breeders in North America, and is likely very, very familiar with the proclivities of this mareline - the single most important thing to know when breeding a mare. Seek her out and ask her opinion - it’s going to much more valuable than anyone who doesn’t know it.

Ahf, actually she did belong to Michele, although that’s not who I got her from she foaled 9 or 10 of her foals for Michele. I will contact her and see what she says. I will also pm you for that other information, thanks! Eventingdreaming I am looking to breed her to a Hanoverian but thanks for the link to some gorgeous studs! I enjoyed the eye candy. And MG I will take a look at him now, I really appreciate the help!

ahf, thanks for posting those links. It looks like the Jahrbuch Hengst is online, which is wonderful!

Oh, I wish it was Clint. But the link provided is just to the Hannoveraner shop. You still have to fork over $ if you want one.

I don’t even mind forking over the $$. It is getting it in a timely fashion. The second stallion I entered wasn’t on there so yes, I realized that right after I posted.

What’s everybody’s thoughts on Sir Wanabi for this girl? Thank you!

Have you looked at Rubinero

I thought the close up Rubenstine might do well on her and he seems bit more modern with pretty head.

She’s a lovely mare I’d love a foal out of her. Good luck.

I had an Elite mare by Davignon out of an A line. She had foals by ROTSPON (beautiful horse, huge mover, heavier body style), LONDONDERRY (VERY tall and big bodied but not as bulky as the Rotspon, nice movement but not as fancy as the Rotspon), SAMARANT (average sized horse with nice movement, qualified for and competed at the national championships for 5 yr olds), and another foal that was the result of a frozen semen mixup and not a pairing I would have made.
I sold her after that and the woman who bought her saw her 3 foals and chose to breed her back to Londonderry based on the offspring. Unfortunately, she died giving birth the following year. The Rotspon was the fanciest mover of them all.

I am a rebel…send a well proven mare to an exciting youngster like Finest. PatO

Rubinero is in the mix. And speaking of Londonderry, what do you guys think about his son Lokesley I?

I am an ammie owner breeding for myself for dressage. I have a coming 2 year old filly by Solos Landtinus (Oak Hill Ranch) that I cannot say enough great things about. Not only is this filly beautiful and a beautiful mover (first premium at her Dutch Warmblood keuring), she is incredibly sensible and very trainable so far. When I wanted to lead her, I just put a halter on (no fight; she just stood there I needed no help) snapped on the lead and she followed along better than any of my dogs. I can hold her lead with one hand and bathe her with the other. She walks onto trailers without a problem (even the first time). I had to blanket her this winter becasue it was cold; no problem getting a blanket on the first time and she left it there. I cross tie her to groom (okay I don’t run off and leave her there for half an hour) but she stands in cross ties while I cross the aisle to get a brush or hoof pick or run into the tack room to get tail conditioner. I walk her in the indoor ring while other horses are schooling and she may look and may occasionally stop and stand, but that’s it. She is obviously not under saddle and could morph into a demon, but I doubt it. Her temperment is really impressive and no, she is not on drugs. I felt that Solos Landtinus added some height and refinement. He was (he died last year but they have frozen) by Landadel out of an Argentinus mare (what is there not to like about those bloodlines) and he is approved Hannoverian although he is registered Danish. I would look at his babies and I would absolutely recommend him as a sire. Unfortunately I cnnot comment on the quality of his frozen semen.

I think Sir Wanabi would be a very good match for your mare
