I’m so excited, I finally bought one of my dream horses… he will be registered as a Canadian Warmblood. I’m horrible at naming things so I desperately need help naming him.
Dam (Clydesdale): Black Pearl
**Sire (Warmblood):**TVR’s Manitoba Artwork
How about Basquiat for the famous Black artist of the same name?
I love Basquiat for him, especially because of his very artistic face marking. He’s a cutie!
I love Basquiat too! If that doesn’t do it for ya, how about Soto for the artist Jesus Rafael Soto.
Oh, a twin valley ranch baby!
No help on the names, but I know 3 of these through friends. All are good citizens, tons of bone, game for anything. Enjoy your baby!
Oh he’s dear! Have so much fun with him.
No connection to anything but I came across a song recently called ‘Riding with Private Malone’ (love it, shed a tear) and right away thought Malone would be such a cool name for a horse, or dog.
It’s an Irish surname.
I’m so excited I can’t stand it! I’ve been wanting a TVR baby for years now, I was supposed to be waiting until next year but when this boy was born and still available I could not pass him up!
Malone’s Artwork,
Dexter
Mosaic Pearl. (mom and grandsire)
Such a cool face marking, how exciting for you!
Abstract Art
Pearl Art
Pearl Splash
He’s super cute!
Pearl’s Dream
Pearl’s Pride
Work of Art
Canadian Art
Does his name have to start with a certain letter? Do you want it related to anything other than his parents’ names?
Pearlescent
Prairie Pearl
Beadwork
I still like Basquiat, but thought that Modern Art would be cute, too.
Very cute foal!
In looking at the picture of him where you can really see his facial marking, the blaze looks almost like a singer or performer in silhouette with a microphone just above and in front of his (the imaginary performer’s) forehead.
So:
Hip hop artist
Pearl Jam
Drop the Mic
Now I can’t unsee the punk rocker
He is so sweet and chonky! I luff him!
I love all of the names above and I will add:
Sparrow (as in Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl)
Tortugas
Profolio
Love Pearl Jam!
Or maybe it’s Drop the Mick to be more Irish?
A literary name: Steinbeck (who wrote The Pearl)
I could have gone the rest of my life without being reminded of that story
I think one of my earliest “traumatized by a book” memories was that book. But if the OP likes Steinbeck and the allusion to The Pearl, how about Kino?
I’m still thinking of an art connection. Banksy?
I thought of another one.
Pearl’s Artisan (or just Artisan).
