Help me plan my trip to Germany!!

I will be in Germany June 25 till July 7. I’d like to do some horsey related activities for a few day in the week of June 25th. I’ll be in Berlin but willing to rent a car and travel. The last week of the trip is reserved for wine country.

Can anyone tell me how to look up local shows? Google was not that helpful. I did find on show on the FEI site that is June 22-25 so I just miss that.

Would a trip to a stallion station be any good? I don’t speak any German though…

Finally where is the best mecca of tack shops? I’d like to furiously part with my money

Thanks for any advise!!

Berlin is a little away from most of the horse action. If you want to look at some beautiful State studs, there is Redefin and Neustadt/Dosse which are the closest to Berlin. But at that time there are probably no stallions because they are away at their stations. But both facilities are still beautiful to visit. Some events in Redefin http://www.landgestuet-redefin.de/termine and Neustdt Dosse http://www.neustaedter-gestuete.de/d…tungen/termine There might also be some foal inspections around Berlin at that time which might be interesting to watch. Unfortunately you are just missing the foal inspection and mare inspection at Gestüt Bonhomme which is very impressive thats the week before you arrive.

This is a link which lists some shows around Berlin for the summer http://www.lpbb.de/files/lpbb/images…lan%202017.pdf I would recommend to visit the show in Dallgow. Thats a nice facility…

I like to use this site to look for competitions:
https://www.pferd-aktuell.de/turniersport/veranstaltungen/veranstaltungen

I did a quick search for your dates and got quite a few in Landeskommission Berlin-Brandenburg
https://www.pferd-aktuell.de/turniersport/veranstaltungen/veranstaltungen?p=1&submitted=1&startdate=25.06.2017&enddate=07.07.2017&type=Turniere&department=266

I didn’t look into what type of competitions they are though – but I’d guess they are the same competitions as on Manni’s list.

Kraemer and Loesdau are big tack stores like Dover with branches all over the place. You could easily go on a spending spree there.

@Manni01 and @lidador thanks!! I will also be driving to Dusseldorf, Dortmund area as well if that helps.

@Kareen any suggestions? Anyone else have tips on stores or neat places? I will be renting a car so willing to drive.

Thanks!!

Contact one or more of the warmblood registries there and ask for information about upcoming events and shows. Also the German FN in Warendorf should be able to help you. Contact info is on their websites. Have a great time !

Ok so I’m going to Celle and visiting the Stallions. Any suggestions of other things to do around Hanover / Celle area?
