help! need (good) name for new bunny

Rebound - since he’s your other rabbit’s rebound fling (and cause they hop)

<hanging head> I did mention I am not that great with names, right? Even if I did feed poor Petey for several weeks? I was thinking you had Earth and the other name was similar (now that you’ve reminded me, I thought it was spelled Peaty).

Forgive me Petey!

Sum. As in “Everybody loves Sum Bunny sometime”[/QUOTE]

OMG Please don’t tell me you’re one of those sloppy, maudlin drunks what drapes themselves across everyone while declaring lifelong love and friendship? :: shudder ::

I like Chip.
He’s super cute btw

It may not be this breed, but Harlequin came to mind, Harley or Quinn for short.

3rd vote for Watership Down rabbit names - loved the book

Hazel, Fiver, Bigwig, Clower, Dandelion, Blackberry, Pipkin, Hawkbit, Silver, Holly, Buckthorn, Cowslip, Boxwood, Haystack, Strawberry, Bluebell, Toadflax, and Kehaar (seagull)

there’s more (I had to go check for the names)

He’s a cutie! His coat reminds me of my parents’ cat.

Hefner? (Hef for short, of course).

I also like TBPNW’s suggestion of Harley.

Thanks for the tip – I had no idea that this colour is called ‘harlequin’.

Also, to the suggestion of ‘Harley’, the name on his shelter papers was ‘Marley’, although the shelter staff called him ‘Cadbury’. No idea how that came about.

Maybe I need to re-read this entire thread. Is Peter the deceased? I’m pretty sure I have that correct, but I did venture over from the “Drugs” thread. The last time I owned a bunny I was 12. That was about 97 yrs. ago. I named him Pedro, and I have no idea why. If I’d had one within the last 5 yrs., or so, I’d say the name came from Napolean Dynamite. Anyway, a tribute to Peter.

Marley ! Don’t know why. . .just looked like it to me.

I miss my bunnies.

ETA: See??? Should have read it alllllll before I posted. I don not work at the shelter.

No. Earth is the deceased bunny. I hope that makes sense to an arriviste from the drugs thread Earth is an odd name for anything except a planet, I know, but that was the name given to my late bunny when he was born.

Petey is the current female rabbit and companion to New Bunny.

New Bunny needs name.

Thanks to all for your efforts. Haven’t decided yet. Currently stuck in – no kidding – Saskatoon and can’t try out names on bunny.

He looks like a bunny I had when I was younger - the same harlequin coloring! His name was Boomer. Boomer-Bun, Boom-Boom…you get the idea.

He’s BEAUTIFUL!! Paisley?

Parsley
Brindi (brindle)
Dandelion
Confetti
Hazel

I like Paisley !

I like Harley or Marley. I’m really wanting to get a house rabbit of my own (working on convincing the hubby and my landlord…aka Dad) and I’m hooked on the name Ceasar!

“Egg-Butt”

“Egg-Butt”

Still undecided. I thought I’d get to know bunny and find a name to suit his personality.

Right now, I’m thinking of calling him The Shark.

He is, at times, comically aggressive. He charges, growls, then makes big chompy gestures with bared teeth. Very un-rabbitlike, IME, and certainly not done in fear. Also, he comes nowhere close to an actual attack. He does not like you to touch anything in his domain without permission. He does, however, always hop over to say hello.

I expanded his pen to about 9’ x 12’ and he likes the extra space. He’s touching noses with Petey and I think I’ll be able to bond them fairly easily. He’s also comfortable with my dog (I was told he hated dogs and would spray), although my dog is perhaps the least intelligent and most placid canine in the history of man’s best friend.

I’m told he goes in a harness/leash but haven’t tried it yet as I’m on the road again.
