Trying to get the new horse’s Holstein registration number off his passport, but not sure which number to use.
There is: DE421XXXXXXXXX. (Two letters 12 digits)
Something called a Transponder Code that is a 15 digit number with a bar code
and the word: Rheinbach 201XXXXXX (9 digits)
I assume one of these numbers is his registration number? And what is the appropriate name of the registry if he was registered in Germany?
And is it “Holstein” or “Holsteiner” I’ve seen both…
