Help needed - BIG jumpers in Boston area?

Long shot but worth a try…

We are travelling to the Boston area this weekend in search of a BIG jumper for a student. He is 6’5" and a large build. Needs something 17.3hh plus, long and wide who can take a joke and is scopey enough to jump up to 1.10m.

We are hoping to see as many as we can on our trip as we are coming from Canada. Please send any info or leads on possible barns in the area to sjlineker@yahoo.ca
Budget is open at this point. Thanks

No specific leads, but just a heads up that one of the local medal finals is running this weekend and is typically well attended by the larger local barns. I presume you’ve got some lined up to see already, but here is a list of barns you could reach out to that IMO are likely to have sale horses: Grazing Fields, Olynik Show Stables, Newbury Farm, Kristin Bumpus (I forgot her farm name), Kingsway, Riverwind Farm, Shining Valley, Cornerstone, Tibri, and I am sure there are others I’ve forgotten. Luckily it is a fairly small area so you may be able to see a lot in a short time frame.

Yes, Mass Medal Finals are this weekend in Northampton; out near Springfield. Whoever is not at MA Finals will be at Capital Challenge. Not the best weekend to look at horses. Besides the group that is listed above, try Dee Dee Rucco out of Walnut Hill in Plainville and Mark Jungherr from Starlight in Amesbury.

Kristin Bumpus is Arrowhead Farm in Concord.

Try Mor Linn in Walpole (Catherine Foster). They import a number of ISH’s that could fit the bill.
