Herald III

Anyone have any experience with him? I saw a dutch eventing stable has a young stallion by him and out of a Coconut Grove mare named Moreno Grove that looks quite exciting and I really love Coconut Grove so I’ll have my eye on that one. I’d be curious to hear more about Herald III though and if anyone has experience with him and the type of mare he suits, etc.

With the Heraldik connection and us being eventing people we looked at Herald III for our mare and except the Heraldik genes and his obvious jumping skills I cannot find anything about him making me think his genes would have anything on offer for our multi talented bred mare. Something in the exterior of Herald III turns me off big time. His offspring are not that old but nothing seem to stick out as being a talent.

On Coconut Grove xx me too always was a sucker for him and have seen some pretty nice offspring to him including the mother of another stallion of the owner of Moreno Grove that is Magic Coconut by. Carrera VDL. Here’s a one year old sibling to Magic Coconut (mare in video is not his genetic mother)

I know the owners of these boys quite well but I can not recollect I met Moreno Grove IRL but if corona lets us we’re going to the station where he’s standing this week to get our mare covered by a total different boy (there will be Goldfisch II genes flying all over the place  ) and maybe I can get a sneak peak

Please do report back if you do get to see him!

Who are you breeding your mare too? The reason I had done some research on Goldfisch II and had been able to share those links on your post is that I’ve just purchased a Graf Top I mare out of a Sir Caletto x Goldfasan mare, so she has Goldfisch II through Graf and Gotthard multiple times.

I’m going for Air Jordan. Have a thing for the A-lines descending from Abglanz and really want to breed on multi talent rather than surf down one row of options.

The mare is fairly new to me and digging backwards in her pedigree is where all the Goldfisches turned up. Realised he is also to be found behind the hubby to be so am very happy you helped me find out more. I only bred TB-mares before

Will try and check out the other one for you this week

Air Jordan is a great choice! Good luck!
