New saddle time! I’m eyeing the Hermes Allegro as an upgrade from my old Steinkraus but want to test it out first. Does anyone offer Hermes test saddles that I can order and check out? Dover used to but it looks like the brand is off their website. Thanks!

Thank you, yes. I prefer the trials where I can ride in at my convenience over a period rather than during a saddle fitting meeting, but if that’s the only way to test it out…

I recently purchased a new Hermes from Jimmy Sardelli, who is absolutely fabulous. He brought several models for me to try and was extremely knowledgeable about his products. He has a really interesting gadget which actually does take measurements of the horse’s back - first time I’ve ever seen anything like it and I’ve tried several other custom saddles.
Jimmy was really pleasant and never made me feel like I was taking too much of his time-- and I took a lot. He watched my horse go (who has been an extremely difficult fit) - he was as interested in the way my horse improved in different models of saddles as I was! I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with him. I will also add this saddle was in the same price range as other custom saddles I’ve tried. I will pm you his number…let me know if you have questions. It was a fabulous experience all the way around, I finally have something that works for both my horse and me, and feel like Jimmy was the find of the century for me. fg
