I’ve recently fallen in love with an Hermes…I’m trying to find what model it is. The stamp is long worn off, but dropping the panels revealed that it was made in 1999, as per the markings on the seat webbing.
Any chance someone can find a link to what models were available around that time? The saddle is heavenly and contrary to what everyone says, it’s quite soft in the seat. I don’t have a picture handy of mine but thought maybe someone would point me in the right direction to try and figure it out.
You may have a difficult time finding a link from 1999, don’t forget that 21 years ago online shopping was relatively new and although now just about every business in the world has a website, many did not in those days. Even now, many of Hermes’ products don’t appear on their website. Maybe you should just contact them directly and hope you can find someone who would be willing to look up that info for you.
I bet that we could identify it from a picture.
I think the Oxer and Essentielle were in circulation around the turn of the millennium but I can’t remember on which side of it they debuted.
I’m not expecting a link from then as I know that’s not realistic (I’m old enough to have owned a rotary phone…so I don’t assume everything will be online). I’m hoping that maybe there is one that will have a list of sorts of all they have come out with. I can’t see fans of Hermes not having one as there are a bunch for every Birkin out there 
I’m leaning towards Oxer as the Essentielle I think was a more straight flap. I keep forgetting to snap a picture when I’m at the barn
