Ah, superb! You all must join me, though.
What is unfortunate is that I’ve found alcohol, even a glass a night, sets off a bit of an arthritis I have in one finger. As such, the glass of “beaujolais” had to become one small glass a month.
Why, oh, why do many of the things I love end up being contraindicated!?!
Thanks for a fun & interesting article, SD.
One of the top jockeys owns part of a vineyard, I believe. I forget who.
Sounds like surgery is the simple solution for what ails you. Amputate the one arthritic finger and you can resume enjoying wine. The other solution is drink your wine earlier. No alcohol after 3 PM is recommended by physicians. It requires a little self control. That is the regimen I follow. I am pretty much blasted by 3 PM so by bedtime I am not conscious enough to know that I suffer from arthritis.
burp!
“Amputate the one arthritic finger and you can resume enjoying wine.”
Oh, I have definitely considered that at times!! I considered cutting off all my bad body parts, actually, but then realized all that would be left is the tip of my nose. :ambivalence:
“I am not conscious enough to know that I suffer from arthritis.”
Now that is great technique!
