Hidalgo leather tree saddles?

Does anyone have any experience with these? They aren’t treeless, they are designed with a heavy duty leather tree that holds its shape but supposedly molds to your horse over time. I test rode in one and my horse went well and it was super comfy, but I wonder if anyone had any other experiences.

Hey there!! I am a Hidalgo saddle rep location in Illinois. If you would like to check out my page you can find lots of helpful posts and support! Yes, these saddles are very adaptable while still allowing proper fit and support. www.facebook.com/hugyourhorse or you can visit my website at www.hugyourhorse.com

Let me know if you have any questions!, I would be glad to help! ----Tiffani R.

A friend of mine used to have a Hidalgo. It was fitted by a rep and ridden in light dressage work, but had to be replace for a different saddle - it didn’t distribute the weight of the (petite) rider at all and basically ruined the horses’ back. Several other acquaintances bought Hidalgos from the same rep at the time, and I don’t see anyone using them anymore.
