I’d really like to upgrade my bridle but would rather spend under $250 so was considering buying something used. Does anyone have any website suggestions for getting a nice used bridle? (good brands like Edgewood, Antares, Vespucci, etc)
Premier Tack Outlet (http://www.premiertackoutlet.com/preownedbridles.htm) is the place to go for used high-end bridles.
There is also a great classifieds section on The Outside Course.

Thanks for this link! I’m not looking for a bridle but I started surfing around the site and FINALLY was able to ID the manufacturer of a saddle pad I inherited somewhere that my horse and I just absolutely LOFF. It’s a Cloud Nine.
Cloud Nine pads are truly awesome.
Lucassb always has some beautiful high end bridles for sale, always in exceptional condition, she would be my first source when looking to buy used.
I also recommend Premier Tack Outlet, just be aware she will not do refunds, only exchanges.
If you are brave and patient, ebay. Also check any local consignment tack shops you may have locally. I got a great edgewood bridle and martingale at my local consignment tack place for under $150 and they were BARELY used! I wonder also if you told them you were looking for something specific if they would hang on to your number and call you when something came in
Thanks for the suggestions!

Lucassb is better than a tack shop. She also has a huge assortment of open fronts and hind boots, gorgeous Grand Prix hunt coats and lots of show shirts and various other strap goods. Now that she’s moving and has limited space, she is selling off lots of good stuff.

Yup, she has gorgeous things and all in mint condition!
Does lucassb have an online store???
Nope. Just a private collector. I had a similar collection, but was too selfish to part with any of it, but now its ashes. Lesson learned.
Oh my gosh, you guys are too funny.
Maybe I should have an online store, LOL… I could give my friend Rebecca at PTO a run for her money
I have been collecting fine tack and riding apparel for so long, it’s become a bit of a habit (yikes). Now that I am moving and actually LOOKING at all of it, it’s clear that my habit has gotten a bit out of hand, and some of it has to go so I put it on TOC. If you are looking for something particular please feel free to send a PM

Seriously.
Out of curiosity, how did Premier Tack get started? Where does the used stuff come from? She, like, goes to garage sales of the best horsey neighborhood on Earth?
I do think one can capitalize on a collector who has some kind of life event that forces her to go to swear off for awhile.

She is plugged into the horseshow crowd, and gets quite a lot of stuff from those who just don’t want the hassle of listing/selling/shipping etc - the basic consignment model on a relatively high level. And she also has some contacts with a few manufacturer’s (or reps, anyway) so she can get their stuff at good prices, particularly AdT.

Hehe!
That would make things easier, wouldn’t it? She could have a drive-though. You don’t even have to get out of your car.
And is that a calico cat on the white saddle pad serving as backdrop for the belt pictures on TOC? Nice touch!

I did look into adding “paypal” buttons to TOC listings, haha. (Possible, but time consuming.)
And yeah, the cat has claimed that particular BOT saddle pad that I use as a backdrop for photos. Guess I am not going to sell that, LOL.
No but she has enough “stuff” to fill one.

I second or third this (lost count)… Love my Edgewood bridle & the boots I got from her… I unfortunately had to put down the horse it was for shortly after getting them, but am hoping a new one will come along that it will look extra special on…
