Wasn’t there a Darco mare on the original list?? Sorry if I missed her on the price tally (Thank you for that!!)…

never mind…found it

I don’t understand why so many people thought the horses were in danger of the kill buyer. These arent OTTBs.

Like I said earlier, if you got any of them for 5,000 you were getting a bargain… Most went for well over.

Did any COTH members buy a horse? Who is dozier202? The bought a few.
Looks like all went above meat price:)

ok COTHer buyers, reveal yourselves!!!

Could the buyers please reveal themselves?

I’m actually shocked at the prices these horses went for- an open 14 year old broodmare who hasn’t had a foal in years for 16k? A broodmare that was quite lame and hadnt had a foal in years for 11.5k? 4 and 5 year olds who were unstarted, or recently started for 20k? With no health records released? I would love to know who paid prices like that, from an auction with very little advertising, and online options that deterred I would think alot of bidders, due to the deposit required, lack of videos, and any current information. And not even a live video feed. Seriously? Are all you breeders getting tons of calls for people wanting to pay those kinds of prices, with those kinds of restrictions? Wow- I’m relocating to Florida! Or…there were people on the floor bidding up the prices…

The horses are quality sporthorses. People with money will always spend on those types of horses.

Well Bulgari Boy went for more than I would have paid via auction from CA, so I feel better. I was prepared to pay around that a couple years ago when I tried to contact them about him, but then again they never bothered to contact me back.

Glad all these horses went to good homes. Those were good yet fair prices on the other ponies, were any of them even started?

Congrats to anyone who has a new horse!

Given that the young “horse” mares were not really started, I’m guessing the ponies are pretty green also. Some said they were started in the catalog, but I know that was not true of at least one of them.

It seemed that most of the winning bidders were on site; I only heard one or two that they announced as online winners.

$27,000.00 for Der Euro? Am I missing something? I would have thought he would have sold for much more, especially when the mares and youngsters went for as much as they did. Glad to see the grand dames all found homes, though.

Der Euro has issues and looked awful. :frowning: Can’t believe he brought that much! I can’t believe what some of these horses went for! One was so lame and the stupid lady was saying look at her move!! Someone online bought her so hope it was for a broodmare. The buyer who bought the barn bought a lot of the horses so they had money to burn obviously! Some were a good deal though just more than I wanted to spend for a resell. Who buys a mini for 2200!!??

How did Der Dollar look? I knew him well when he was in training with Lisa Wilcox’s assistant. Hoping he’s doing well.

Dollar looked good. But he has a reputation as well. Hopefully the new owners can work it out.

Yes, I was shocked by how high the prices were. The bloodlines are OK but not the top of the top and I found most of the horses to be very average.
