Highlife Farm Auction

I think of that farm as being primarily an eventing barn. They’ve got a great program, good trainers. I’m glad to see the horses going to such well established horse people.
Ah, sorry. I thought they were a H/J operation.

Agree it is wonderful the horses are going to an established operation. Wishing a very happy future for all of them!

I found this thread when googling AMAZONE and wanted to post that we are the people who bought her. She is safe and sound and will have a very good home with us. We are very happy to have her and may try to breed her one time. We’ll see what the vet says. At any rate, we already love her and plan to keep her either way. She is a perfect lady…beautiful, sweet and sound…
Oh, this is so wonderful to hear. It brings tears to my eyes to hear that she went to folks who treasure her. Good on you!

sorry for using the short names. pebbles is pik pave, peny is precious princess, flora is floraboyd and fancy is la fancy nancy.

are you sure je t’aime went to class act as well? like pik pave, lucena, cavalli king, rubies and diamonds, commander and chief,… i thought jennie jarnström was more interested in bigger horses.
I wrote down bidder 841 for Je T’aime, Pik Pave, Lucena, Cavalli King, and Diamond Rhodes. Someone said earlier on this thread that was Class Act. (Je T’aime’s bloodlines are pretty intriguing, and I would have been interested in her for that reason alone - no matter what her size.)

I had bidder 717 noted for Rubies & Diamonds, but I do not have a name.

I didn’t get a bidder number for Commander 'n Chief.
i rode dionysius once and he was dead at the leg and concrete in the mouth. really no fun to ride. probably a good rider can undo the damage that has been done to him by bad riding.
Dionysius was knocked down at $76K. That is a ridiculously high price for a 5 y/o stallion with no performance record. There is some speculation he was bought back by the house, along with the other high priced stallions Prezioso and Der Dollar. It will be interesting to see what happens with them now.

Highlife’s Floraboyd was sold several years ago at a previous auction as a weanling for 33k. She was by Connecticut out of Ferdonia 2. She ended up in Naples, but her owners later had to sell out. I believe they kept her, but don’t know if they still have her now. It’s been several years.
USEF shows this for Highlife’s Floraboyd.

HIGHLIFE FARMS - SOLD
ORLANDO, FL

If the new owner has listed her with USEF, it was done under a different name.

Sorry to hear this mare is leaving the U.S., but am delighted to know she is going to someone who loves her. I wish the mare and owner many happy years together.

Agree with this.

And this!

I show Furiana as going to bidder 808. I do not know the bidder’s name.

i think the dollar babies will make their way. they are all georgeous and very sweet. i have a picture of me and je t’aime on my second time on her. too sad i couldn’t post it here.

i hope material girl goes to a good home. i don’t know what happened to her, but she needs a lot of love and security while riding. everytime she tightens all her muscles i was talking to her and calming her down and that worked. i don’t hope somebody rough gets to ride her.

and i am worrying for ostria. hopefully somebody wants to breed her or if she is going to be a sport horse, i hope this somebody is able to activate her hindlegs.

i think euro stayed with the owners :frowning: i hoped so bad for him to go to a good new home, where people take good care of him and call the vet when he is ill.

flora is an amazing horse. very willing to work and a pleasure to ride. she was not offered on the auction but for privat sale.

i don’t know anything about fancy, but she is easy and will fit in whatever home she goes to.

thanks for all the information!!!
i was so sad that i couldn’t join the auction.

Nicole, do you know where Ruby went ?
I really hope she was bought by someone who care, and will love her, after the way she was treated, she deserves someone good :frowning:

Does anyone know where Rikorella went? I knew her at Judy’s and admired her colt Rasta a lot when he was a baby at her side.

I think Rikorella was the bargain of the auction. I too loved Rasta as a foal and she is a special mare.

Tried to get the hubby to let me bid on Rikorella but I guess I didin’t get him buttered up enough before we went!

The woman next to me bid on and got one of the other mares. Her comment to friend was “I hope this doesn’t get me divorced” …Apparently she skipped the buttering and left hubby at home!

Sally…I was in your situation with the hubby on that mare :frowning: Plus, I was holding out hope for a pony, lol.

Does anyone know who bought Furiana? She was another of my favs.
She was bought by Petra Wilder of Spellbound Farms, and she will be bred to their Oldenburg Stallion “Diamunde” hopefully this year.

She sounds like she is settling in very well, taking the move in stride and is definitely getting lots of love and attention!

I love hearing the feed back on who now has these horses.
please keep posting as to the whereabouts.

o.k. if i understood right
rubies, je t’aime, cavalli king, precious princess and lucena are at class act

i know bulgari boy went to a loving home
as well as fancy
ostria is at tracy mastersons place

i don’t know about floraboyd :frowning:
and i am very sorry for euro. he is very special boy he just needs a good rider. just because lisa wilcox was not able to deal with him (her scores at centerline are not impressive) doesn’t mean he is a bad horse. he is a genius but not working for everybody. too sad i couldn’t help him :frowning:
i don’t know anything about material girl, navina, fürst dollar and high society :frowning:

thanks for the help. makes me happy to know that some of “my” horses are in good homes now.

nicole

And the Highlife saga continues:
I heard that Joan had Demacles HLF 2 yo (full brother to Highlife’s Dionysius) gelded before she released him to the new owner. Without their knowledge.
Anybody that’s in the know…I would like to know.

I don’t see how they could geld a horse in this heat and after he was already paid for.

Doesn’t make sense. They are asking for a lawsuit unless that was in the paperwork being sold.

re Damacles, OMG, It would appear that if this is true, it is the first horse she has gelded in maybe 5 yrs? Ownership transferred basically immediately upon payment for the horse, so why would she risk this? Are we sure that buyer didn’t arrange for horse to be gelded?

Also, has anyone heard the status of the property? Did the farm sell or did it get rejected? It is in need of some TLC…

Don’t know any of the specifics here, but on its face, it suggests a lot of anger or resentment.

Hard to say what’s going on behind the scenes.

Years ago a very prominent show dog handler put a lot of effort into creating a Special, in terms of attitude and condition, etc. On a whim the owner decided to pull the dog and put it with some newbie handler. So the former handler cut all the hair off of the dog, which effectively meant it would take about a year to get the dog back on coat to be Specialed. It was done very openly, the soon to be ex-handler was at her grooming table on the show grounds and said something like, “ I think I see a flea” and cut all the coat off of the dog, then waltzed over to the soon-to-be new handler and said, “Here’s your new special”, handed her the lead and walked away.

Commander, Cavalli, Diamond Rhodes, Pik Pave, Luncena, Levi, Je’taime

Hello! My name is Indy and I work at Class Act Farm where 7 of Highlifes horses have come to live. We would like to thank everyone who was invested enough in these horses to ask about them and show concern for where they ended up. So here are updates on all of them! Commander and Cavalli are currently being worked consistently under saddle and show GREAT potential. Cavalli couldn’t have a better attitude around the barn and Commander has been a handful  but we are all impressed with his talent. Diamond Rhodes is making strides and Pik Pave is eating well and building muscle. Lucena has impressed us all with her demeanor and in only 4 rides walk, trots, canters, and trots over teeny x’s!! She’s been a joy to work with  Levi has bewitched one of our most difficult geldings and the two have been inseperable from day one. Je’taime is also doing very well. Thank you again everyone for asking about them we are so happy to have them and they have all settled in wonderfully to their new home!
