Awesome update, thanks! Do you know if the bid for the land was accepted or if it’s being negotiated, or anything you can tell us?

i don’t know about floraboyd :frowning:
and i am very sorry for euro. he is very special boy he just needs a good rider. just because lisa wilcox was not able to deal with him (her scores at centerline are not impressive) doesn’t mean he is a bad horse. he is a genius but not working for everybody. too sad i couldn’t help him :frowning:
i don’t know anything about material girl, navina, fürst dollar and high society :frowning:

thanks for the help. makes me happy to know that some of “my” horses are in good homes now.

Glad to hear this, I adore Tracy!! Miss her tons!! =)

She was bought by Petra Wilder of Spellbound Farms, and she will be bred to their Oldenburg Stallion “Diamunde” hopefully this year.

She sounds like she is settling in very well, taking the move in stride and is definitely getting lots of love and attention!
This is great news; I loved Petra when she did a clinic I rode in at Highlife years ago. Diamunde was also bred at Highlife, he’s wonderful.

Hello! My name is Indy and I work at Class Act Farm where 7 of Highlifes horses have come to live. We would like to thank everyone who was invested enough in these horses to ask about them and show concern for where they ended up. So here are updates on all of them! Commander and Cavalli are currently being worked consistently under saddle and show GREAT potential. Cavalli couldn’t have a better attitude around the barn and Commander has been a handful  but we are all impressed with his talent. Diamond Rhodes is making strides and Pik Pave is eating well and building muscle. Lucena has impressed us all with her demeanor and in only 4 rides walk, trots, canters, and trots over teeny x’s!! She’s been a joy to work with  Levi has bewitched one of our most difficult geldings and the two have been inseperable from day one. Je’taime is also doing very well. Thank you again everyone for asking about them we are so happy to have them and they have all settled in wonderfully to their new home!

Thank you for your great update!!! Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I’ll have to tell my friend how Commander is doing, she was just absolutely in love with him. There’s a rumor going around that Class Act purchased the Highlife property, can you tell us anything about that, or who did end up with it if it was sold? Thank you =)

Indy S,
I am so glad to hear about Lucena, and not surprised by her demeanor so far. I own her sire, Lansing, and I’d like to think that comes from him. He is a great stallion and passes these traits on to all his offspring. I hope Lucena does well for you and I’ll keep watching for her. Best of luck and thank you all at Class Act for being just that and taking on some of these horses and giving them a chance to have a full life.

AMAZONE

Hi all- had the delight of going to Amazone’s new owners property today and got to see their daughter Alexa riding her. The mare has settled into this wonderful family in Oviedo and was riding with great dignity and obedience. Glorious mare just needs some time and conditioning to be back in marvelous shape. It hoped that as well as enjoying her for some riding they will be able to successfully breed her next season. Was great to watch the old lady go!

And the Highlife saga continues:
I heard that Joan had Demacles HLF 2 yo (full brother to Highlife’s Dionysius) gelded before she released him to the new owner. Without their knowledge.
Anybody that’s in the know…I would like to know.
Has this been confirmed? Has anyone heard anything more on this situation?

And I am so glad to hear the wonderful updates from Class Act about the horses they bought. As well as updates about Amazone and the other horses. Does anyone know where Rikorella ended up?

Bumping this to see if anyone has confirmed this report:

Anyone heard anything further?

Have not heard anything re the gelding situation, but I did hear that the bid for the farm was not accepted; there were supposedly some negotiations going on and that too has supposedly fallen apart.
So what now? the place is going to sit there in need of maintenance and repairs and nothing happens? Dunno, I think an opportunity (for both parties) was lost if this is true.

why would this be anyone’s business outside of seller/buyer?

Let’s just say it speaks to character, and will likely determine whether I send some business their way.

If not true, it is a horrible slam on their reputation (which wasn’t the best to start with).

Conda

Anyone know who bought Conda?

well if that were true i would think the interested party would contact the people in question and ask directly instead of speculate on an anon BB?

Damacles HLF update

I am happy to announce that I purchased Damacles at the Highlife Auction.***********

He is living at my family’s farm where he is happy & well adjusted.

Thank you to the staff at Highlife Farm for your expert assistance and your obvious compassion to all of the horses.

Meagan Davis

BTW - I wanted to quash the rumors: He is in fact - INTACT.

Congratulations Meagan. That is good news. Good luck with him and keep us posted!

Thanks for posting this. I had heard through other sources the other story was not accurate. Not sure what prompted it, and even though the Sims have done some - um - questionable things with their breeding operation, gelding a newly sold stallion (and not at buyer’s request) would have invited serious legal action from the buyer. As a friend said - even Kenny isn’t that stupid… :stuck_out_tongue:

At any rate - congrats for your purchase, and I wish you many happy years with him!

And I hope all the horses are now in happy new homes and doing well.

Chris,
I realize it’s a bit late to address this, because you’ve been doing this for years now, and you clearly think it’s fine to act this way, but in the context of the other thread, where Bridgett/Norsire has a huge $$$ judgment against her for defamation, are you sure you want to be saying things like this? Really??? Is it necessary??? Isn’t this comment a classic example of something that should be said in private. When I read you saying things like this it always seems to me that you do so to make yourself seem more important (which is a self-esteem issue best resolved privately). I think you’d be screaming bloodly murder if people posted comments like this about you.

Uh - Elaine - I said they had done some questionable things with their breeding operation. That is an opinion held by many folks through the years. Just look at how many people on this thread were surprised and puzzled by some of their actions - including breeding as much as they did, not gelding any of their colts, etc.

And you seem to have once again become the self-appointed bully on this forum, who seems to think it is your “job” to take anyone to task that you don’t agree with. Before you start lecturing other folks, maybe you better take a good look at your own “self-esteem” issues.
