Just because…
Am I correct in recalling–through my early morning fog/not enough caffeine brain–that men and women carry different types of flasks in the field? Please edumacate me. 
I wonder what the metal is? Where do you think it was made? I’m still nervous about poisoning from base metals, a la the Romans and their lead plates.
How do you all clean out/wash the interior of the flask? How do you know it is clean and the next concoction is going to taste the way it is suppose to? Wash in vodka or everclear? (I don’t know if everclear is even legally sold…)

If I’ve had an extra sticky something in the flask (kahlua, Wild Turkey honey liqueur) I’ll put a drop of dish soap half fill with water and shake vigorously, then rinse repeatedly until there are no more suds.
All of my flasks are stainless steel.
You can buy Everclear at the ABC store, although I believe the proof is regulated.

Above is a photo of a “Man’s flask”, a ladies flask would fit in a sandwich case along with a sandwich. Which is just not enough! ;)
I generally have a “hip flask” in my sandwich side of the case and a granola bar in the flask side.

These men’s leather flask holders often are sold without the flask - if they are second hand it means the flask got broken along the way, and replacing it to fit exactly is the tricky part. Just don’t assume there is a flask inside.

wateryglen…I saw that flask when I went to get some perpetual trophies engraved. The store had it in a glass case…so I had to see what was sparkly…and tah dah! thought of you! Even more surprised when I googled “rhinestone flask” gets lots of hits. LOL
