Hit in the temple

I was petting my horse and he hit me in the temple with his head. It wasn’t extremely hard, but hard enough to have a little pain. I did not black out, feel dizzy, or have blurred vision. All I had was a little pain in the area he hit. 24 hours later there is no bruise or bump, it doesn’t hurt to the touch and only a little headache where I got hit. Do you think I have serious injury?

You are likely fine, but if you have ANY doubt, go to the doctor. If your headache worsens or if you vomit, GO TO THE ER.

Go see your eye Doctor ASAP to be sure you do not have a retinal detachment underway. A blow to the head is one of several possible causes. It is better to rule it out sooner rather than later. If you have any neuro symptoms at all, see either your regular Doctor or even go to ER. A concussion is never something to ignore.

I think you are fine.

Why would you wonder if you have a serious injury? You got hit, it hurt a little, and 24 hours later you are 100% normal other than slight pain where he hit you, correct?

Today I stood up under the pedestal sink in my bathroom and cracked the back of my head hard enough that I split the skin open. It hurts and I have a goose egg. It’s no big deal and that will go away. A few days ago my horse hit me in the side of the face really hard with his hay bag when he was jerking a mouthful out, and I saw stars for a minute and stumbled around, and then was fine after realizing my eye wasn’t scratched and I just had some scrapes on my face and a little headache.

Life gives bumps and bruises. Your injury sounds very minor. Unless there is something I’m missing here, I see no cause for concern. If I went to the doctor every time I had that kind of injury I’d be there multiple times a week. Maybe you’re less clumsy

Troll?

Troll.

Started three threads with the same topic in horse care. No other posts. Just looking for reactions, is my take.

Nope not a troll. I’m he type of person who is easily freaked out and thinks they have every health problem in the world.

A doctor would be a better bet than a bulletin board. No one can give you an MRI online.

First thing that came to mine when your horse hit you in the temple with his head…what was he doing in synagog?

Hypochondria is a reason to go to the doctor.
