Hits + Vermont summer festival

Rumor around here is that HITS has bought Vermont Summer Festival. If true, what does that mean for VSF?

I don’t know but all I ask is that he not kill the young maples. There was one tree at Saugerties for 500 people to cluster under and it died.

Oh, that would be such a shame if it’s true. I hope it isn’t.

OMG. Say it isn’t so!

My understanding is that VSF management for 2020 will be the same as in prior years and in 2021 it will be a HITS run horse show.

Link? News source? Press release? Verification?

The other part of the rumor is Lamplight and Fieldstone too. All scuttlebutt from stewards and horse show officials (as repeated to me), but often horse show rumors have some merit.

Lamplight is 100% true.

I have heard the same from a reliable source. Same management for 2020 (if that even happens) and then HITs takes over the next year.

A local restaurant that provides some food service was told it would be her last year because HITS bought it.

Tom was asked directly about VSF and Fieldstone. Yes to VSF (2021) and no to Fieldstone.

Surely it would do no harm to give a heads up to the East Dorset town manager that Scrooge McDuck is taking over from Daffy. In case issues arise. And the environmental department needs to keep a close eye on the headwaters of the Battenkill (that swamp next door).
