HJ barns in MA

Hi! I’m a graduating college senior returning home to outside of Boston post grad. I’ve been riding consistently during college and would love to continue when I come home, I don’t have time to lease but would love a well run lesson program. I would return to my home barn (which I love!) but it doesn’t have any lesson horses. Any suggestions!?

Where specifically outside of Boston? Or at least, north, south, east or west? Lots of great options, but a general location would help

I’m about 30 mins west of the city! For context I’ve ridden in Dover, Sudbury and Framingham previously

Check with Ridgetop Farm in Holliston. Not sure what their current lesson horse roster looks like but they used to have a few nice ones in the barn, plus quality instruction and good people.

Would recommend Rising Star Equestrian Center in Medway. I’m over in dressage land now, but rode there as a junior, have stayed in touch with folks and groomed and braided for them at a couple of shows last year when I was between jobs.

They have a sizeable lesson program with good horses and the owner has been running a quality program since I was a junior 20 years ago. It’s also big enough that if you wanted to half lease down the line I’d be shocked if they didn’t have something available and appropriate in the barn. They have boarders that do the A shows and back when I went to college one of the lesson kids got a care lease on my very nice 3’6 hunter (they went and won MA mini medal finals that year), which was not an uncommon situation based on the size of the farm and number of juniors aging out.
