Holsteiner Breeders: Calypso I + Calypso II?

I know double Calypso II is a no-no, but what about the brothers Calypso I and II in the 4th generation? The mare is line-bred Calypso I (gender balanced) and the stallion I’m looking at would add Calypso II in the 4th generation.

She was bred in Germany twice to Acobat II so the resulting foals actually had 3 crosses to Calypso I in the 4th generation.

TIA!

If the mare has a very good topline you should be fine. I wouldn’t want 3 of them there if you can help it.

I’ve bred once a mare who’s damsire was Calypso I, to Graf Top I who’s damsire is Calypso II. So pretty close. I got a very calm, quiet and gentle colt, who is certainly going to end around 16.3+. He was recently broke under saddle, wtc and some mini cavalettis, and according to his trainer, it was a real charm. He is now off for the rest of the summer and fall, in order to grow and developp more before entering training for 2012 show season.

Conformation wise, he has strong large hooves, correct foundations perhaps a little long in the pasterns. He is old fashioned, big bones, little long in the back, but he can jump for sure!! He turned 3 this year, and was free jumped couple of times and went up to 4ft without even blinking an eye, it was an easy game for him. Good neck length, not the prettiest head. In few words, he would probably not win the prize for the prettiest modern type in the world, but he is a gentleman with lots of potential in jumpers and is making his owners very proud of him.
