Holsteiner Stallion Caballo?

I am looking at a mare by Escudo II , out of a Caballo mare. Can’t find anything on this stud, perhaps since his name means horse in Spanish, it’s a little difficult to Google. This is not Caballo Z; on the papers it just says Caballo, HOL. Any info on temperament especially would be great. I’m actually looking at her as a dressage prospect; I already know she’ll have way more scoep than I ever will.

It may be “Sandstone” Caballo - originally imported by Sandstone (Gaby Salick) and then a bit of a history on the west coast - Butch & Lu Thomas, Helen McNaught etc. There are others on the board who may know more details.

I believe he is now in New Zealand with Helen. He was gelded, not sure of the date though. I think the Thomas team has frozen semen.

If it is the same Caballo, you will likely find video of Helen riding him on Youtube.

What is the rest of the mare’s breeding? Could help narrow down if it is this Caballo. http://www.horsetelex.de//horses/pedigree/86078

Thanks, he is by Coriano by Evita XII (Reichsgraf). That is his pedigree, but the registration number doesn’t match.

I did find this: http://www.highoffleystud.co.uk/horseinfo.asp?id=7560 If Sandstone isn’t the same horse, must be a full brother.

What is the mare’s dam’s pedigree and date of birth? That will help determine likelihood of it being the Caballo I listed.

The Horsetelex database is not always accurate so if the pedigree matches, it is likely the same Caballo. As far as I know, there was only one.

DE 321210151695 this is Caballo his German federation number. I also don’t think there are more Caballo’s from this combination.
This is his FEI number; NZL00952 he turned 20 this year. Caballo is approved for Holstein. For more information on Caballo himself I would suggest you contact Helen Mcnaught personally.
