Holsteiner stallion Clarimo

What about the mare Havel (v. Lord)? There are many references about her being a blue hen, but she actually has only produced one licensed stallion and then a reserve champion mare. It sounds like she is a very good mare, but does she qualify as a true “blue hen” with just those two very notable offspring?

I’d agree Maltia is amazing, and of course Gofine is a blue hen.

And thank you both for your educational comments. Most appreciated!

Havel has made two approved stallions. One by Calido and the other by Acorado. She has also made 2 HSP Corrado I daughters and one of them has an approved stallion by Quidam.

Her “reserve” champion daughter by Acodetto was considered by all to be THE best mare in Holstein that year. They put a mare by the Verband owned Con Air in front of her.

She has had mostly fillies so it will be sometime before we know if she is a blue hen or not.
