Home made dog food

There have been threads before but…

Does anybody have a researched recipe for a homemade dog food that will
supply a balance diet for our dog. I’m trying to find why she is itchy. Only about 20% is diet with 80% being environmental, but if I could find a home made food that is free from preservatives, I’ll try it.

She is doing well on Apoquel but would like to dispense with that if poss.

It’s not online, and it’s older. But, this book is a treasure trove of recipes

i have been cooking for my dogs for about 2 years. i bought a bunch of books, and the best one out there was this one- https://www.amazon.com/Feed-Your-Best-Friend-Better/dp/1449409938/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1478123392&sr=8-3&keywords=dog+food+cooking

I usually make a big batch of dog food in the crockpot. i use Ground turkey, rice, spinach, yams, broccolli, diced tomatoes, and some oatmeal. I supplement with Wysongs-Call of the Wild.

This is a veterinary-approved site (UC Davis vet school oversees it) that will help you formulate recipes for home cooking!

By far and away the best resource for homemade diets.

Many thanks!
