Hoof boots for mini with laminitis

My very small pony had laminitis when I got her. She quickly recovered and didn’t require any on going care. She recently went very lame on both fronts and the vet says it’s laminitis again. Xrays have been taken, the farrier will be out, and we are working to figure out what caused this flare up.

The vet mentioned getting her hoof boots. The ones he mentioned were EasyBoot and Softride, though there are others these were the ones he mentioned having special options for laminitis. If anyone who’s used these or other boots for this reason tell me if they really help? Do they make a noticeable difference in the comfort of your horse?

TIA

My farrier prefers the easy boot stratus. He likes how adjustable it is in terms of the wedge.

Soft Rides are a life saver. My mare had laminitis about seven years ago and my vets recommended them - they arrived the next day and my mare was instantly better. She’s had a couple flare ups since then (one foot only) and I do my usual routine with her which includes Soft Rides. I have multiple pairs in different sizes (depending on where she is in her trim cycle) and will use them now if the ground is super hard/frozen and she’s so much happier.

Highly recommend them. They aren’t cheap but well worth it.

If you need very tiny boots you may have to go to Cavallos - they have really small ones. The padding is the thing that will make a difference in comfort.

Thanks for the responses. There are a few options in mini sizes, pony isn’t a mini in height but is an odd in between size whenever I have to go by her stuff. Though all three above mentioned brands have boots that would be around her size Ive run into an issue. My ponys hoof seems to be wider than it is long, and though the farrier is coming out to trim by the xrays soon it’ll likely be taking off more toe. So I’m not sure what I can do as far as boots go because unless things really change when she’s trimmed nothing will fit her well.
