Does anyone have any experience with this line for sport horses?
Every Coxs Ridge I have met (several… and we own one and I had one here on consignment for a friend) have been good athletes and VERY hot. Hubbys is a polo mare…she has 2 speeds: fast and faster. She is now 19 and has not slowed down a bit. Also jumps well. The other here to be sold for a lady I know was an event mare: fab mover and jumper, but she was a handful. She was here cuz the mare was her daughters PC eventer and dtr left for college. Mom was not a horse person, horse left at home when dtr left for school for mom to take care of. Horse quickly learned Mom was afraid of her and took shameless advantage of getting very rude. She was sold to a WB breeder and got a premium rating at her Old/ISR inspection.

I’ve always heard that Cox’s Ridges were sought after as show hunters, so I’m surprised to hear that they’re hot.
We like Dixieland Band for eventing, Widespread Panic thru Jambalaya Jazz (ran Advanced) and Widespread Chaos thru Monarchos (just now 4 y.o. backed last fall and beautiful). No experience with Cox’s Ridge.

Our Cox’s Ridge grandson was flamboyant & exuberant, but not hot. He was big, pretty, balanced, reasonable & athletic & produced the same (and he is sadly missed).
Cox’s Ridge’s sire, Best Turn, was also the sire of jumper & sire Hand In Glove, who I believe was approved in France by Selle Francais (someone will correct me if I am wrong, I am sure!).
QH hunter breeders often look for Cox’s Ridge-line breeding stock for appendix horses (and they surely are not looking for ‘hot’.)
I’m eventing a Dixieland Band grandson (by Swear By Dixie) right now, and he’s lovely. Pretty much as generous and honest as a horse can be, and reasonably athletic (a bit on the big and goofy side.) The Dixieland Band daughter we have is very, very nice and quite athletic but not quite as quiet.
