I just measured my horse the day after he was trimmed for a pair of hoof boots. Both of this front hooves are 6-8mm wider than they are long. How on earth do I shop for that?
I got Renegade Vipers for my MFT because his front feet are more round than oval. I’m liking them a lot.
I know Renegades can come in a “cut-back” option. You can even do it yourself, it just trims the rear of the bottom piece back. Pretty simple. Maybe call them to ask with precise measurements. Good luck!
Yep- no prob for Renegades, Vipers or old style (which I still use).
But it definitely depends on how big your horse’s feet are overall. My horse’s feet are too large for the largest Renegade, but fortunately, they’re only a couple of mm wider than long. I’ve ordered the Easyboot New Macs, but they haven’t arrived yet. So we’ll see if they work!
