Horse Birthday Cake- any recipes?

My daughter wants to bake a cake for my horse’s 24th birthday. I’m curious if anyone has done this before- and has any recipes.

Thanks!

I made something like this for my horse’s 21st birthday, except that the one I made involved refrigeration to get it to stick together better. Naturally, I got stuck in a massive traffic jam on the way out to the barn and the cake melted and spread a bit. My horse was suspicious at first but once he realized it was sweet he dug right in. I got the recipe out of a book of horse-treat recipes that my mom has. Here it is: http://www.horsehollowpress.com/book_detail.asp?book_id=1

If you want to share with humans, just make a carrot cake - nothing in there that can hurt a horse.
Unless your horse is IR, then the carrots themselves are Verboten.

If you want a cake just for the horse you can do a “raw food” version using apples, carrots, whatever grain you feed and molasses or corn syrup to stick it all together.

I just made a carrot cake with applesauce on top. All lOOOOVED it!!!

Thanks! I think this is my project for Thursday night!

I also wanna know some recipes, cause my horse’s birthday is on my daughter’s birthday. So she likes Key Lime Cake, here’s the recipe - https://club.cooking/recipe/key-lime-cake/, by the way. But I don’t know what to cook for my dear Cisco, I’m waiting for more ideas:( Thank you
