As the title might suggest, I am looking for recommendations on where to have blankets/sheets/flysheets cleaned and repaired in NJ (central or North), NY (NYC or Westchester), or possibly even CT (I sometimes make the trip to Beval).
In Atlanta, it was easy - Horse Authority, hands-down. I know of some places around here that advertise blanket cleaning/repair, but I don’t know anything about the actual work they do.

The tack shops around here send all to Horse Duds and Suds http://www.horsedudsandsuds.com/index.php I can’t comment on how good they are but just about everyone uses them. A few tack shops are drop off points for the blankets to be picked up by them.
I have a lady who does a wonderful job and is really well priced. She is located in Fair Lawn, NJ and comes down to me in Hillsborough with no issue. Will PM you her info.
I’ve been a satisfied client of Horse Duds and Suds for many years. Very good customer service, and very good cleaning and repairs. If you’re in the Monmouth County area, one of their dropoff/pickup locations is Dill’s in Freehold. They have many other stops on their route. If it’s a large barn of blankets, you can also arrange for them to work directly with your barn. Since I get mine cleaned throughout the winter, I prefer to drop them off as they need cleaning/repairs. Everything always comes back exactly as requested, all repairs are very tidy and sturdy, and blankets are neatly folded in handy plastic bags with handles.

I haven’t had to send my blankets out for cleaning or repair yet, but they’re on my list for the end of the season.
