I will be moving to Oklahoma State university in stillwater in the fall and will be bringing at least 1 of my horses with me. What are some good boarding barns close to the school. I would like to do full care as college will be busy and i wish to make sure my horses are well taken care of and would like to keep it under 500 a month. Thank you in advance!

Rocking E in Stillwater is great! But her waiting list is long, get on it early! I boarded my 2 with her for a while in college.
Sturgeon Farms in Perkins is good too, I’ve never boarded there but I’ve heard great things. I’ve also been out there and met the owner, he’s a great guy and seems very sensible!
I’ve been out at White Oak once or twice but don’t know anyone who has boarded there. It seems clean and well kept though. It might be outside your budget though.
Valley View seems nice, I’ve been to clinics and shows there. The owner is pretty well respected in the area. but her rates are higher.
I would avoid Starr Valley. It’s an older, run down facility and has a questionable reputation.

Oak Ridge used to have a program where students work off some of the board.
Thank you so much! I have been looking online at rocking e, white oak, valley view, and oak ridge. I am hoping that i might be able to find somewhere i will be able work off some partial board but i doubt ill be that lucky…
That would be perfect if they still do that!
I would also be open to doing partial board as i love taking care of my own horses but i also know that there may be days i would not be able to go to the barn as i am going to be a pre vet major
