Horse Brag, and Thanks to Hunter's Rest and Yventer

In 2012 I sold my former eventer, Chief (Premier de Kegan) as a foxhunter.

Last weekend, he won the Foxhunters class at Upperville.

Thanks to Hunter’s Rest for inviting us to join the COTH group going out with Old Dominion, which was his first hunt, and my first clue that he might be good at it.

And thanks to Yventer for getting him out enough times to show us that he WAS good at it, and finding his buyer.

I have somehow lost my Premium status (to post pictures,) but there are some on the Piedmont Hunt facebook page.

Here are some pictures I’m sorry, I don’t know who to credit for these.

Chief was such a quick learner of foxhunting, and so obviously loved it from the very beginning. He would always watch and listen to the hounds work. He was a blast to ride.

I’m confused, the op says the horse won this past weekend, but the rider (?) is using the word “was”. Has Chief died?

I’m hoping he is alive and well he looks so beautiful in the pictures!

Chief is fine.

Yventer is saying he “was” a quick learner, referring to the time SHE was riding him in 2012.

Neither Yventer nor I are his CURRENT owner or rider.
