Seconding Geoff.
I had Geoff highly recommended, but he would not come as far as Chester Springs the last time I tried a few years ago. If you run into the same problem, I use Gail Emerson 610-593-3353 and am very happy. No power tools, but still gentle and allows them to keep their heads low. My horses need very little tranq with her. A bit of a character, but shows up on time, calls to set up an appt at the agreed upon interval and she teaches hand floating for the IAED.
There is one equine dentist in this area (not mentioned here) that you do not want.
A friend of mine switched from Gail to Dr. Tony Rodriguez. Her horses were in their mid twenties and Gail said she does not work on untranq’d horses. Friend was not comfortable tranquilizing horses that old without the vet. She figures that if the vet is coming out he may as well do the float.
He apparently does a lot of floats and is good at it.
I use Mark Cheshire. Our whole barn pretty much uses him. I have been happy.
Another vote for Mark Cheshire. He’s awesome.

Thanks! I did put a call into Mark the other day so just waiting to hear back!
Resurrecting an old thread- my Vet, who usually does my guys teeth is on the injured reserve list. Any new dentists, those taken off of the list, or strong recommendations?
Thanks!
Gail Emerson 610-593-3353 she’s wonderful
