Horse Gym, Aquatread, Water treadmill?

Does anyone on COTH own one of these? I am looking at installing one in our barn and have some questions if you have one, or have had one before.
Thank you!

Don’t have one but I would kill to have one close to me - there is an underwater treadmill about 2.5 hours away but I would love to do a swim a week vs having to send horsie away to swim/ walk.

We have a Horse Gym.

One of the vet assistants to our vet clinic started a hydrotherapy center for horses.
You could ask people with those about how that is working for them:

She has been offerering those services to local performance barns for long time now.

Many haul horses in training there regularly and say it really helps their horse’s fitness.

Vets also use that for rehab after some injuries.

I so wish we had one at our barn. I shipped my horse out to one for a total of 6 sessions. Finnegan went up in the dead of winter. It really made a difference in how he went after the sessions were done.

The owner has it in its own very large heated room that has rubber mats over concrete for the flooring. The room is heated for the winter. The water is slightly heated. It is a really nice set-up.

There was a video I saw of what looked like a water jump but it was a round pool with an island in the middle. The water was about knee deep and a rider was trotting a horse round and round. That would be good exercise and safe too! Though it would require maintenance!

Most those threadmills for horses generally were part of a building.

Today they have portable ones you can put anywhere and sell again if you don’t need it any more:

There was a race horse training farm in France that had a handy-dandy river close and used to take their horses there for conditioning walking in water.
