Horse hair jewelry

I have a good amount of tail hair from my dearly missed Irish horse…I kept it in a drawer for some years but now feel I am ready to do something with it.
I know there are a bunch of people who make necklaces and bracelets incorporating horse hair…
Any recommendations?

Definitely check out Pony Locks! She does an amazing job!

Thanks - her stuff does look nice!

This stuff is pricey, but I like the way she incorporates the hair in either obvious or less obvious ways, so you can pick a piece that’s sentimental to you but can look fancy at the same time:

Mine is from Tails of Love (on Etsy) - it’s excellent quality and has held up well to everyday wear.

I just got a bracelet from Pony Locks for my dad for Father’s Day. it’s beautiful and well made.

I also really like the designs from Enigma Horsehair Jewellery on Facebook. Her website is http://www.sarahfoxfineart.co.uk.

Slightly different idea, but I had pottery made out of the tail hairs from a horse that passed. It’s Raku, so they throw the hairs onto the burning-hot clay, and it forms a gorgeous black-and-white pattern on your vase or pot. I think it’s more lasting than horsehair jewelry, and I love having them in our house.

I have a Pony Locks bracelet that I’ve worn (and abused) for 2.5 years now. It’s held up beautifully. Including being stolen by a curious cat and used as a play toy for a couple of weeks before I found it stashed underneath the guest bed.

Thanks for all the options, guys! And Spots, hmmmmm…
Waiting for moving van so will go check out some of these other sites too…

I went here for jewelry for a friend: http://minitreasuredmemories.com/Horsehair-Bracelets.html

Some other options that I like are Christmas ornaments http://www.customhorsehairandwoolcreations.com/details/specialty-items/180/

I like the horse statues as well as the pots here https://www.etsy.com/shop/wyopotter?section_id=6827578&ref=shopsection_leftnav_1

http://galladesigns.com. Trish did a gorgeous flat braided bracelet with sterling findings for me.

I got mine done by IM Silver and love it. The place I drool over most, and I swear sometime I’m going to have them make me something, is solenaro designs

I saw those on facebook…and plan to get one for Loveton.

I have a bangle from Solenaro Designs and I couldn’t love it more than I do - it’s gorgeous! And he was very easy to work with!

Pony locks is the best! I have a few things I had her make and they are beautiful and hold up great!

Aquinnah O’Keefe at Tangled Treasures just made me a full custom bracelet braided from the tails of every horse in my herd (black, chestnut, and roan):

Ok, stop! So grateful but I am at risk of wanting one from everyone…and although I only have so much tail hair from my first horse, and my second horse will go bald I if I even look at him with scissors, the chunky monkey grows tail like he’s a poster child for Hair Club for Men…tempting, very tempting…

Enter At A out of KY has the most beautiful ones I have seen. Even my DH says he would get one with his old driving ponies tail.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=815206361846926&set=pcb.815207505180145&type=1&theater
