Horse Mafia of Chicago novel

Has anyone read Unbridled by Michael Springer? An ad for it just popped up while I was browsing COTH. Amazon says it is set in the 1960s and is planned to be the first in a trilogy about the horse mafia of Chicago. I’m thinking this might be a good read. Sounds like the author might know horses so hopefully won’t have the cringey mistakes a lot of horse books have.

Sounds like another retread of Hot Blood.

UNBRIDLED is a novel of murder and revenge set in the Chicago horse world of the 1960s. No, this is not the Helen Brach story. It is a work of “true crime fiction,” which may be inspired by actual events but also from the author’s imagination. It is a fresh take and, I hope, enjoyable to those who know and love the horse world.
