Eventing grease?

Crisco Seriously, at least “back in the day” when I was an eventing groom, that is what was used. Its suppose to help a horse “slip” off of a jump should things go bad.

Now they sell “eventing grease” - I think its supposed to wash off a bit easier than crisco (which is a PAIN to wash off if you do not have hot water!)
