I may not be in the right place here, but can anyone recommend a good horse shipper? I need one shipped from PA to OK. Thanks in advance!

Try Equine Express, based in Tx, they do a lot of Midwest east/west hauling. Depend on where you are in PA, whether it’s Pittsburgh or Bucks County makes difference in who will pick up from your location.

I think Johnson is based in PA or MD so you may be able to get them cheaper since you are near their starting point. Very professional and great care of horses. I was a groom and rode down with them from VA to FL multiple times and they took great care of the horses…and me. If you are ever lucky enough to have DJ, the owner, drive your horses, he takes extra care.

I’ve had great luck with Brookledge and Bob Hubbard, but don’t know about their routes other than the ones that I’ve used (East Coast --> Seattle and PNW <–> CA).
I used Bob Hubbard to ship a horse from KY to CO a few years ago and was very happy with them. I had a quote from them to ship a horse from PA to CO last year but ended up going with a cheaper option…kinda wish I went with Bob Hubbard.
I second Equine Express. I shipped my first horse, a difficult TB mare, from Columbus, Ohio, to Amarillo, Texas, and then from Amarillo to Houston. Each time, Equine Express was very communicative before and during the trips, patient about getting the horse to load, and she stepped off the trailer each time in great shape.

Third for Equine Express. We used them from Philly to NE Ok. and again from NE Ok to Cal. VERY satisfied and the horses arrived fresh and happy.
Ditto Clint Coulter. Good horseman, spacious rig and communicative while en route.

He picked up mare in D.C. and she arrived in K.C. in tip top shape. Super nice guy who lives on the other side of the county from me. He arrived late at night so he kept her in his barn overnight and I picked her up the next morning. Makes me want to take up fancy horse showing just so I can use him again, LOL.
